The Versailles Poultry Days’ Board of Directors and the Village of Versailles welcome you to the 71st annual Poultry Days festival June 10-12th.  Always the 2nd full weekend in June!

Poultry Days is an annual community festival which began in 1952 to celebrate the area’s history as a leading poultry-producer. Arrive early to enjoy one of our World-Famous chicken dinners.  Since 1952 this village of less than 3,000 people has sold 1,101,685 of these delicious dinners.

The 2022 festival theme is “Just One More!” The festival is always packed with many activities for people of all ages to enjoy. There are two parades, the Grand Parade at 11 a.m. on Saturday and the Antique Car Parade at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday. The Village will host the 40th annual Ultimate Frisbee Tournament, which is one of the top bucket list tournaments in the world. Some of the other activities will include: Miss Chick and Little Miss Poultry Days Contests, FREE Kiddie Tractor Pull, rides and games for all ages, Vendor Area, Cake and Egg Contests, Flower Show, and Art & Photo Show along with many other family friendly events.

Mark your calendar, schedule your vacation and check this website periodically for details and updated information. Email us at poultrydayschairman@gmail.com with questions.

We look forward to seeing everyone in June!

2022 GRAND PARADE MARSHALS

Johns Family.jpg

Terry, D & Shirley Johns

Terry Johns and D & Shirley Johns are very excited and honored to be selected as honorary parade marshals for the 2022 Poultry Days Grand Parade. The parade will begin at 11:00am on Saturday, June 11th as part of the three-day festival to be held June 10-12th 2022.

D and Terry moved to Versailles from St Marys at a young age and along with Shirley graduated from Versailles. They started working in the grocery business for their dad in 1968.  They have seen the grocery store grow from a small building on East Main St. to their current location with a gas station, car wash and restaurant.  Shirley came on board in 1976.  As a true family business, you will routinely see all three generations stocking shelves at the IGA.
