Katie Gabbard

Katie Gabbard is a modern artist with a studio practice in Coldwater, Ohio. In recent years, her work has been exhibited in Miami, FL.; Findley, OH; Columbus, OH; and New York, NY. Large-scale paintings that contain vivacious colors and joyful, lighthearted subject matters are the defining characteristics of her work. When not in the studio, Gabbard applies her creativity and energy to a surprising place--the Darke, Miami, and Mercer County housing market, as a Realtor.

Wednesday, June 12th 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Thursday, June 13th 5:00-7:00 p.m.

EXHIBIT TIMES:

Friday, June 14th 3:00-8:00 p.m.

Saturday, June 15th 12:00-8:00 p.m.

Sunday, June 16th 12:00-2:00 p.m.

PICK-UP WORK:

Sunday, June 16th 2:00-3:00 p.m. Work not picked up by 3:00 p.m. will be disposed of.

Show Rules

• Cost of submission is FREE

• Artists may submit up to three pieces of artwork AND up to three photographs

• All artwork must be dry, original, and not previously shown at Versailles Poultry Days

• Artwork must be free of nudity and profanities.

• Poultry Days organizers and volunteers have the right to refuse entries deemed

inappropriate or offensive.

• Framed artwork must be mounted with screw eyes and wire (no saw-tooth hangers)

• All 2-D artwork will be hung for display

• All 3-D artwork will be displayed on tables

• Art will be judged on creativity, expression composition, skill, and presentation.

• Judges will be comprised of unbiased art professionals

• By submitting art into the Versailles Poultry Days art exhibit, artists agree to not hold

Poultry Days, organizers, or volunteers responsible for lost or damaged property.

Categories

Student Poultry Art: Artwork with a poultry theme (Students-only may enter this category)

2-D Art: Paint, pencil, pastel, charcoal, mixed media

3-D Art: Ceramic, sculpture, jewelry

Photography: People, nature/animals, landscape/architecture

Divisions

Children’s Poultry Days Coloring Contest (limit 1 entry per artist)

• Download the “Poultry Pirate of the Sea” coloring page

• This coloring page can be downloaded and printed from the Poultry Day’s website

• Can also be cut out from the newspaper and colored

• Division open to kids not yet in kindergarten.

• Artists will be entered into a raffle to win an art supply kit!

Student (limit 3 entries per artist)

• Students grades K-12 during the 2023-2024 school year

• Age grouped in the following: K-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-12

• 1st place ($10), 2nd place ($8), 3rd place ($6) awarded in each age group

• A single Best of Show award ($25) will be given in the student division

Amateur (limit 3 entries of artwork, 3 entries of photographs)

• Post high school and you do not sell or profit from your artwork

• 1st place ($20), 2nd place ($15), 3rd place ($10) awarded in each category

• A single Best of Show award ($25) will be given in the amateur division

Professional (limit 3 entries of artwork, 3 entries of photographs)

• You earn part or all of your income from art work/ art degree

• 1st place ($25), 2nd place ($20), 3rd place ($15) awarded in each category

• A single Best of Show award ($25) will be given in the professional division
