Tuesday, April 1st, 2008 Dear Parade Applicant, As parade chairman for the 57th Annual Poultry Days Parade, I would like to invite you to participate in our parade which will be held on Saturday, June 14th, 2008 at 11:00am. This year’s theme for the parade will be: “It’s all about Poultry Baby” Our parade is one of the largest in the area, which attracts thousands of people each year. Your presence would greatly enhance our parade and definitely add to the success of making this year’s parade another grand event. Floats will be judged and awarded in the following areas: Junior Civic (4-H, scouts, school groups, etc.) Senior Civic (churches, festivals, veterans, social clubs, etc.) Commercial (business sponsored entries) Theme Award Queen’s Trophy (originality) Mayor’s Trophy (entertaining) Chairman’s Choice (open) Please accept this application and let me know by May 15th 2008 or sooner so I can reserve a position for you and your group in the 2008 line-up. You will be notified by mail of your position in the line-up. This year’s parade will start at the intersection of East Main and Steffin Street.
